Go Vintage DXB – April 6 to 13 – DWTC

Vintage posters, graffiti, cars, food bar and market! Here’s a quick review of this creative event happening at Dubai World Trade Centre for Vintage fans in UAE.

Go Vintage DXB is a festival happening at DWTC, Dubai that is inspired by the 1950s. Its happening mainly as a part of Grease, the musical show, but while Grease has a paid entry, Go vintage festival is FREE for all.

Happening from 6th to 13th April 2017 and organised by 6IX Degrees, this event is a real treat for vintage fans. It offers the following at venue:

  • Exclusive collection of vintage cars
  • Escobar lounge with vintage beverage collection
  • Vintage market
  • 50s inspired food bar setup
  • Activities for kids such as painting, crafting and playarea.

Here are a few pictures that I took for you to have a look at and be tempted to go there if you are a vintage car fan at all:

and a few pictures of the vintage art spotted for fans of vintage art like me:

That being said, the event has not been marketed properly and the staff at DWTC did not know it as Go vintage, but merely as a setup happening alongside The Grease. So make sure to just walk to the halls where The Grease is happening!

MY THOUGHTS ON THE EVENT

The event had a lot of potential but very few people came to enjoy it due to lack of marketing therefore had a relatively lesser crowd than expected… But good for people like me who wanted to take pictures of the cars and art without having too many people in them!

Good event to stroll around at, but don’t have your hopes too high. Its a free event, so that is definitely a plus!
