●Series: Crafters of Pakistan● . "Bhabi" says this golden urdu calligraphy on this beautiful marble stone. This means 'Sister in Law' in Urdu (for my non-desi followers) and was bought as a gift to me by my Sister-in-law who accompanied me to an event called 'Crafters expo' in Karachi, Pakistan. This is from my trip to Pakistan exactly 1 year ago. . So we had a quick conversation with the man behind this brand and his personality really got me to go check out his Facebook page the other day.. and boy, am I impressed or what? This gentleman is extremely talented and well-versed in the field of #art. Mr. Amir Mirza has been a teacher at renowned institutions such as IVS, Szabist and KU, and possesses knowledge of art, #design and #psychology. His brand is called @hunarpaaray and offers a wide range of beautiful (would classify some as actually cute) things with #urdu #lettering and #calliagraphy that would make amazing personalised gift items and collectibles.👐 Swipe though for a #sneakpeak. ●The Golden Sun of Crystals● . Resharing my pictures with one of the most mesmerizing #art #installations I've ever seen.🙌🏻 This is a #swarovski structure consisting of 8000 Crystal droplets forming a golden sun that that depicts the concept of birth and rebirth!🔆 (Swipe left to read details and have a closer look at it!) . ●Girl you got this●♀️ . The title that kinda tames the #anxiety in me before I've written my thoughts/tasks/ideas now!✏ . Ever since my first job, which was actually as a #Strategy planner for brands, I've developed this habit of writing down everything that needs to be done, or sorted, or understood! 🙆🏻‍♀️ And just like that my job title was soon my personality trait! . And then my next job was as a full time mother. Paid in hugs and kisses but required more #planning than my 4 years at IBA or my few years at job. Thanks to mommy-brains, I'd forget half the things I had to get done all by myself and so writing it all down yet again saved me from the "oh no"s that could have followed.🤦🏻‍♀️ . The next task I took upon myself was to get into #arts. Basically #painting and #writing about art. So that too required planning my deliveries (of paintings) and blog collaborations (for art events and brands) which meant all the more reasons to buy notebooks.🙌🏻 . In short. I need a reason to buy me a planner/notebook! Noone knows this better than my husband who after years of telling me "you don't need a new planner for everything new you start Maha" decided to buy me a 2019 planner from my ever so favorite @typoshop on my birthday in August 2018!🥂 #SeekhGayaLarka . I often think that the night is more alive and richly colored than the day. - Vincent Van Gogh. 🌌 . I would have never believed his qoute above if I wouldn't have seen his famous painting #StarryNight. Van Gogh became my favorite the day I realised how to true to his words is his work! And my visit to his museum in Amsterdam further confirmed it!🙌🏻 .
