❗Fake followers alert -and how to indentify them❗ . Its been 2 years that I've been blogging. But less than a year that I started properly insta-blogging. . The two are very different. And the major difference is that sadly it's a #number game in the latter. As a #contentCreator I wish Insta also removes the number of followers from being shown like they removed the visibility of number of likes on a post (in most regions).🙌🏻 . Those who know me know I enjoy little things more. The real things, the organic growth.〽️ I'd rather have a few real friends than many fake followers. That's what brings #contentment. Else there is no limit to greed, right? . But through my experience and observation, I do realise that organic growth that is totally based on your work, efforts and content is SLOW but more fruitful. It makes you happy, and makes people respect you. It lets me know my work is appreciated more than my numbers.🔆 . Yesterday I posted about "how to indentify fake followers" on my story and many of you asked me to name and shame. But I've never wanted to use anyone as a stepping stool to feel higher. My friendship isn't based on the number of followers someone has, nor do I want following by creating unnecessary drama on this little happy place of mine.🥳 . But I do wish the brands did their research before offering campaigns, other bloggers did a check before promoting such accounts and audience did their cross check on whether who they are following is even true to them? . More than fooling their audience, I think such people fool themselves. They live the life that is a lie and they know it. I don't even feel mad at them, I just pity them.🤦🏻‍♀️ . . With a long list of friends, invites, work, chores, events to juggle, it does become challenging to be able to connect to myself and the happy things around me.🧘🏻‍♀️ Thank God for no-fomo. . So I've learnt to PRACTICE THE PAUSE. To breathe. Let things sink it. To be my favorite company - every once in a while. . Here's how I do it: Meditating, visiting an art exhibition, star gazing.✨ . So excited to announce that .. I'll be driving my usual car to go see all these fancy cars, with a ticket brought from my own money, accompanied by an awesome photographer who works for me for free because he's my husband. #KeepinItReal 💯 Na meray miyan ji Ya Sheikh, na mera surname Shareef.🙈 . Sorry to disappoint everyone who saw this picture and expected something FANCY like "oh look it me modelling in (or better owning one) an expensive car, at a fancy event that invited me and a professional photographer who took my pictures".💁🏻‍♀️ . Life isn't always what it appears to be. But the cars at @dubaimotorshow are exactly as awesome as they appear!🤩 . This is my picture from the "Dubai International Motor Show" 2 years ago and I can't wait to go explore some cars again. . I've fallen in love.. with taking care of my mind, body and spirit.🧘🏻‍♀️ These are the recent changes I've brought upon myself. I'm giving so much time to myself, it makes everyone else wonder why I'm not available as often as I was.🙈 . Because I almost always had a lean structure, I never bothered including exercise in my routine. I think the last time I ever did it was in my school's PE classes, wo bhi zaberdasti lol. . Upar se the desi society is wrongly convinced that exercising and clean eating is just to lose weight.🤦🏻‍♀️So after stuffing myself with uncounted calories(Biryani not regretted), lazying around, I've finally realised how every single body needs 30 MINUTES of exercise everyday. . Here's why: ▪️Lowers the risk of developing certain health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, heart problems etc. (Doesn't include heart break. For that work on your brain)💔 ▪️Helps you age slower (not the Edward Cullen slow) and better.🧛‍♂️ ▪️Helps strengthen mental health, increasing #happiness and positivity. Producing endorphins. It helps me manage my #anxiety. ▪️Helps flex up, tone up and get rid of pains. Helps with my cervical pain. ▪️increased energy and stamina ( I can feel I went from rusted to a working engine)🚜. ▪️Helps skin glow. Not just with sweat lol. By producing #antioxidants in body. (No highlighter ka kharcha) ▪️Causes the hippocampus, a part of the brain that's vital for memory and learning, to grow in size. (Better mental function than judgemental fuction)🧠 ▪️Better sleep. (Unless you are a mom and you don't get that option very often.)👩‍👦 . . . 6000 Pakistanis gathered in Dubai to share their #Junoon in Dubai!🇵🇰🇦🇪 . I am not a party animal but I'm very much a #concert animal.🎸🎶 Having attended at least 30ish that I can count, I can easily say this concert by @junoonmusic was the most ecstatic I've ever been! . Given the #nostalgia packed lyrics, seeing them come together after so many years, the BEST of Sufi-rock, the feeling of being connected to Pakistan while away from it, the combined patriotism of 6000 Pakistanis was INSANE!
