I knew I loved letters over messages, cards over gifts and planners over memos.. little did I know that I also loved desk calendars over the ones in phones.🙌🏻 The realisation didn't come as a surprise though, given that I have never really marked anything in my phone calendars. (Maybe because @facebook serves the purpose with Birthday and event reminders) but lately I've really been enjoying using this super #colorful #desk #calender by @tcfpak as it not only makes me happy to add yet another old-school habit to my #lifestyle but also adds colors to my #home and reminds me to fall back in love with my roots. #mypakistan💚 . This desk calender here has 12 art illustrations by the students of "The Citizen Foundation" of what they love the most about Pakistan. 🇵🇰 While sponsored merchandise is normally too boring and useless, TCF really thought it through when they came up with a sponsored merchandise this #creative! 👏🏻 . For those who do not know, TCF is a non-profit NGO that provides education to the under-priviledged kids for free! And it's really close to me, because I've worked with them as a teacher, a supervisor and as a mentor in Pakistan. And in all honesty, no other work has ever made me as happy as it did. I wish @tcfuae similar opprtunities to offer, but oh well recieving this to make part of my home makes up for it, with a daily reminder of how TCF has helped me realise the #happiness of giving to your people, your country and even to yourself without any any material return involved is immeasurable. 🔆 . #SERENDIPITY - A sweet coincidence. 🔆 This has been my favorite sounding word in English language since very long. And even more in love with it since I experienced it.💁🏻‍♀️ . 5 years ago, #Valentine's day meant nothing to me. I mean I'm one of those weirdos who always wondered "why just one specific day for love?". Typical, I know. Until I actually met the guy I chose for life on 14th Feb 2014. A sweet coincidence. 🙌🏻 Since then this day will forever be special to me. . 5 years ago, I had a different definition of #love. For a while it meant the butterflies in stomach feeling, then it meant sacrifice, then it meant everything happy. But if you ask me now, it means #acceptance. Accepting each other even though no butterfly-feeling days, no unnecessary sacrifices and even through the days that aren't entirely happy.🤗 Everything else just follows if you accept a person the way they are. So 5 years down the lane, I'm glad he's accepted the hyper weirdo in me, and I've accepted the laidback grumpy in him and we've paved our way to a fairly balanced combo like that.👫 . 🔅Outdoor🔅 Some recent changes in my routine make me go out a lot more than I did in the past few years. Specially alone. For walks. To get some sun. To breathe better. 🙌🏻 And well, also because of the weather these days. Breezy but still sunny. And I've noticed I've been getting a lot less headaches than I've been getting due to my cervical issues (just a head to shoulder pain triggered by fatigue and stress) in the past few months. Kinda like nature has been de-stressful! 🌤 . I'm otherwise a very #indoor person. Minimum human interaction on week days so I enjoy company better on weekends and getting possibly all my tasks done at the comfort of my sofa, enjoying warm home cooked food, enjoying the #peace my own company brings to me and minding my own business. ✔ .
